Apple Crisp

375*F

30 minutes

6 servings

8 ” square pan

4 medium tart cooking apples, sliced – 4 cups

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

1/2 cup quick oats or old-fashioned oats

1/3 cup butter, softened

3/4 tsp ground cinnamon

3/4 tsp ground nutmeg

ice cream if desired

Grease bottom and sides of pan.

Spread apples in pan. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except ice cream until well mixed. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.

Serve warm with ice cream

    I just attempted to make this the other night but I see what I’ve done wrong, I should have followed a recipe. I had all the right stuff in the wrong measures LOL. We ate it anyways. Thanks for popping by my blog too !
